Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about the ARC-Fire Trigger, legal compliance, and technical optimization for your high-speed builds.
General & Purchasing
Where is the best place to buy ARC-Fire Trigger systems?
The official ARC-Fire Shop is the only place to guarantee you are receiving authentic, patented Active Reset Clutch technology. Every ARC-Fire Trigger purchased through our site is hand-inspected at our Minden, NV facility and includes our full warranty support.
Is it legal to buy ARC-Fire Trigger products in my state?
Federal law generally permits the sale and possession of forced-reset and active-reset triggers. However, state and local laws vary. We ship to all legal jurisdictions. It is your responsibility to verify your local regulations before you buy ARC-Fire Trigger hardware or Super Safety Kits .
Do you ship discreetly?
Yes. We understand the value of privacy. All orders—whether for an ARC-Fire Trigger – Ambi Kit or a Binary Trigger —are shipped in plain, unmarked packaging that does not disclose the contents.
Technical & Installation
What is the difference between an ARC-Fire Trigger and a standard FRT?
While both systems offer rapid reset, the ARC-Fire Trigger uses a proprietary Active Reset Clutch. Instead of just pushing the trigger forward, the ARC system “clutches” the reset cycle to ensure a more consistent, tactile feel that is easier to control during rapid strings of fire.
What buffer weight should I use with a Para 15 or ARC-Fire Trigger?
For most 5.56 builds, we highly recommend using an H3 Carbine Buffer . The heavier mass of the H3 buffer slows the bolt carrier group slightly, which ensures the timing of the forced-reset lever is perfectly synchronized with the sear, preventing “bolt bounce” or malfunctions.
Will these triggers work with a .22LR conversion or PCC?
Most forced-reset systems, including the Para 15 Trigger , require a full-auto profile bolt carrier to function. For specialized platforms like the Taurus TX22 or Glock, we recommend shopping our Trinity Trigger collection, which is engineered specifically for those platforms.
Can I install an ARC-Fire Trigger myself?
While our triggers are “drop-in” designs, we strongly recommend installation by a qualified gunsmith. High-performance triggers require precise alignment of the safety selector and receiver pins to function safely and reliably.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
My trigger is not resetting. What should I check?
If you experience reset issues, check the following:
BCG Profile: Ensure you are using a full-auto (m16) profile bolt carrier.
Buffer Weight: Ensure you are using at least an H2 or H3 buffer.
Lubrication: High-speed triggers like the WOT Trigger require high-quality synthetic grease on the cam surfaces.
How do I maintain my forced-reset system?
Regularly inspect your trigger for carbon buildup. We recommend a full cleaning every 500–1,000 rounds. For high-wear users, we offer the WOT Rebuild Parts Kit to refresh your springs and pins.
Why are some Geissele triggers listed as “Pre-Cut”?
Standard Geissele Triggers do not naturally work with 3-position Super Safety systems. Our team precision-machines these sears in our Minden shop so you can enjoy the legendary Geissele “break” with modern forced-reset functionality.
